	<title>Low Carb Diet Plan</title>
	<description>
Is your motto,"If you're gonna do it, do it right?"

Then you're either a former member of the 80s rock group Wham! or you have a Type A personality when it comes to everything you do. Either way, you're likely to have great success with a low carb diet plan.

To make sure that you're following your low carb diet plan to the letter though, read this page.

Research your low carb diet plan before beginning
No matter how good a low carb diet plan seems on the surface, look deeper.

There are risks. But if you get the book that goes with the particular low carb diet plan you're on, you can minimize some of these risks slightly. For example, most low carb diet plans limit your intake of fruits, vegetables and milk. These foods are your best source of vitamins, minerals, fiber and calcium, all of which are key nutrients that help prevent constipation and decrease your risk of getting cancer or osteoporosis someday. The book that tells you how to follow your low carb diet plan will likely tell you to take a multivitamin, fiber supplements and calcium supplements. That will help you somewhat if you feel the need to go on a low carb diet.

While cutting an entire food group from your diet isn't a good idea, especially a food group like carbs (which is one of the only nutrients that make it to the brain) eventually, most low carb diets reintroduce carbs back into your diet. The gist of it is to retrain you to eat only the good carbs, also known as complex carbohydrates. In a nutshell, cut out foods made with white flour and sugar. This includes most white breads, regular pasta, white rice, desserts, sugary beverages, sugary cereals and sugary snacks.

A low carb diet plan is a terrible thing to waste
The carbs you should be eating instead are whole grains like whole wheat or whole grain breads, whole wheat pasta, brown or long grain rice, fruits and vegetables. These carb sources will keep your body feeling satisfied so you'll eat less. Plus they provide you with fiber and other nutrients your body needs. If you learn about all the side effects of a low carb diet, you might change your mind about going on one. But if you're dead set on doing it, at least be smart about it.
